Shortly describe your professional career.

I started my career in Valencia, nearly 25 years ago, as an auditor in Arthur Andersen – Deloitte. After 7 years I moved to the financial industry, starting in insurance companies, developing positions in finance departments.

In 2015, I moved definitively to positions in the Investment side with expertise in operations and control activities, and more focused in Investment Funds and Pension Funds.

In 2019, I moved to Luxembourg as Conducting Officer of Andbank Management Company until today.

In this difficult period, including Covid, we have reached a significant increase of more than 50% in the volume under management, closing some relevant deals and being a reference of Spanish management company that want to be presence in Luxembourg.

Which activity does your company currently develop in Luxembourg?

Andbank Asset Management Luxembourg develops asset management activity in Luxembourg. Andbank Group decided several years ago to use Luxembourg as the hub of asset management activity, being the country the base of Andbank Funds.

Also we are providing services to UHNWI creating tailor made funds for them. Finally, we provide services to external portfolio managers or advisor, helping them to setup a Fund in Luxembourg.

What added value does your company offer in Luxembourg compared to its competitors?

Our main added value is the proximity to our client and the ability to provide tailor made solutions. Most of the Luxembourg players are extremely big and bureaucratic. Our size and flexibility is key to reach medium – sized partners.

We talk with our clients in their language (a significant portion are Spanish), and with and understandable wording. This is something they appreciate a lot.

What services can you offer to other members of the Chamber?

We can establish business links to other companies in the financial industry: depositaries, administrators, brokers, other management companies, PSF….

Also, we could provide support for UHNWI providing efficient investment solutions..

Finally, we would be happy to establish contact with other non-financial companies to analyze jointly some solutions in the investment industry.
