I noticed the patterns formed by the stairs and building not just the lines but also the texture and shine of metal

On an evening a few years ago south of the airport photographing airplanes departing

From this perspective the repeating lines and the contrast against the dark sky drew my attention for the image today

Morning on the Beach Presentation:Photobox I noticed the patterns formedWhile visiting San Diego a few years ago, I made a pre sunrise trip to La Jolla Cove. One of the things I noticed was the motion of the water coming in and the rock which was being covered on each iteration. Using the low light to my advantage I was able to use a slower shutter speed on my camera and capture the motion from the water in the image.
